Barely Time to Breathe
Once again, we can state that "at least we’re not bored" because today features a whirlwind of activity for us. Staffer Philippe got an early start, getting up to film this morning’s “How Healthy is Franklin County” presentation that had been rescheduled due to last Friday’s weather. As soon as it ended at 11:30AM, he rushed back here and began doing post-production on both the full event and a news story about it. While he worked on those items, our news director, Karen, headed out to the Greenfield Town Common to film this year’s Child Abuse Awareness Month flag-raising at noon. (Check our homepage later if you want to watch that ceremony for yourself.)
This afternoon, Karen will venture back out, this time with our executive director in tow, in order to film the Franklin County Courthouse grand opening and stream it live on our Twitter feed & Facebook page, while our new media producer monitors everything from the office. Finally, at 6PM, we’ll host a gathering for the latest artist to exhibit on our lobby walls. Maricella Moya will give a talk about her work and her creative process, which we’ll record for posterity, but you are welcome to come down and experience it in person.
After all of this, our employees will get a well deserved rest this weekend but then jump right back into things on Monday, when we’ll shoot videos of the Greenfield Ways & Means Committee Meeting, Greenfield Human Rights Commission Meeting, and possibly the Stand Up 4 Transportation Justice gathering, in addition to helping at least 3 producers with their shows. Be sure to look for all of these programs and more on Cable Channel 15, and here on our website, in the near future.
