Big Productions & Special Guests

We started the week excited about the fact that we had so many productions booked in our facility and that enthusiasm was not misplaced.  The Dukes of Sports kicked things off on Monday morning with a full crew, which was a nice change as weather, holidays, vacations, and illness had prevented Russ, Mike, Sam, and John from being in the studio together for several weeks.  Then, Bobby C. brought The Recorder Columnist Jay Butynski in to guest co-host Franklin County Varsity Sports Report.  They had a really good time and fans of local high school teams will find a lot to entertain them in this episode.

On Monday evening, an eclectic group of talented Valley musicians gathered in our studio to begin recording what they hope will be an ongoing series featuring great music and interesting interviews.  That night may have been the first time we've ever had a sitar played in our facility and it sounded terrific.  The person who is the creative force behind that production returned to our offices yeterday, to learn how to edit, and left with his first DVD.  Because the group is just getting started, they want to have a few more recording and editing sessions before anything airs on Cable Channel 15 or goes online.  We'll let you know more about it once the program is ready for public consumption.

In the meantime, you can listen to the results of the hard work done here by two other groups when you tune in to WMCB-lp 107.9FM on Mondays at 2PM for Live Spirits and on Fridays at 2PM for Blue Dream Radio.  Live Spirits is a mix of music genres, spoken word, comedy, and more brought to you by clients from Community Enterprises, an agency providing supported employment, education, and living services to adults with disabilities.  Blue Dream Radio, on the other hand, is very focused on promoting rap, hip-hop, and the growth of the urban community.  The two co-hosts are joined by various friends each week and enjoy a large number of guest callers.

With so much going on, you really need to keep checking back here on Fridays to get the latest!
