Starting today, the abstract painting of Alice Thomas will be on display in our 1st floor space.   In this short video, she shares what inspired her to create her new set of works, entitled Precarious.

Photography Exhibit Brings Warmth to Winter

On Thursday, February 25th, at 5:30PM, in the hall outside Oncology, on the main floor of the hospital, BFMC will host a reception/open house for photographers contributing to the new exhibit, Summertide Revery.  The exhibition features photographs depicting treasured summer indulgences, as a distraction from the winter and a reminder of the joys in the coming season, that were taken by 20 members of the Base Camp Photo Adventures in the Pioneer Valley and Beyond MeetUp group.  This event is free and open to the public, with light refreshments available and many of the photographers on hand.  The exhibit will be on display through April.

Reminder: Historical Society Calendars Still Available

Looking for a unique gift?  The Buckland Historical Society is still offering their beautiful, full color, 2016 "Heart of New England" Calendar of Robert Strong Woodward’s paintings.  Woodward (1885-1957) was a New England artist from Buckland who sold his work to celebrities such as Jack Benny, George Burns, and Robert Frost.

Reminder: Film Festival Tonight!

The public is invited to the Greenfield Garden Cinemas at 7PM when filmmakers from all over New England will be screening their work for one night only!  Tickets will be available at the door and are $9 each for adults, $8 each for seniors and military.  Due to the graphic nature of some of the films, younger audiences are discouraged from attending.

Children 4.5 – 12 years old are invited to attend Pioneer Valley Ballet's auditions for Aladdin and his Magic Lamp on January 10, 2015.  In this production, colorful characters and spell-bounding choreography will take audience members on a magical ride through a land brimming with genies, dreams, love, and adventure.  Available roles include bluebirds, flowers, canaries, bats, spiders, and children of the palace.
