Northampton-based author, poet, and workshop leader Christian McEwan will be appearing at Boswell's Books in Shelburne Falls, at 6:30pm, on Thursday, September 26th.  She will read from and discuss her book, "World Enough & Time: On Creativity and Slowing Down", which examines the trade-offs one makes in life: the cost of maximizing achievement and financial and material gains versus the pleasures of the slow life. No matter your personal lifestyle and choices, she will offer discussion of ideas that we all should contemplate.

Bestselling novelist Joyce Maynard will be talking about her brand new book, "After Her", on Thursday night, August 22nd, at 6:30pm at the Arms Library in Shelburne Falls.  Boswell's Books is very proud to host Ms. Maynard once again.  She was here last year talking about her novel "Labor Day", which was adapted into a film starring Josh Brolin and Kate Winslett that was filmed in Shelburne Falls and other area towns. That film will be released on a limited basis at the end of this year and then in general release in January of 2014.

At 6:30PM on August 22nd, novelist Joyce Maynard will return to our area for a free reading at the Arms Library in Shelburne Falls.  She'll be sharing excerpts from her brand new book, "After Her", which she describes as part thriller and part love story.  It was inspired by the real-life Trailside Killings which took place in California very near to where she lives.
