Zydeco Connection to Play Benefit Concert

The next Third Friday Concert, co-hosted by the Stone Soup Cafe and All Souls Church, will be held on September 15th, from 7PM to 9PM, and feature the fun dance music of Zydeco Connection in the church's beautiful sanctuary.  It's a wonderful way to utilize this space, bringing people together through music and community.  In addition, soft drinks will be available on a pay-what-you-can basis so that attendees can stay hydrated as they dance in the aisles and boogie in the pews!

Sure, you can check out books, dvds, and CDs but did you know that you can attend a free concert at the library too?  How about an entertaining lecture on Sherlock Holmes in all his incarnations?  Our local library hosts many fun and interesting programs throughout the year and these are just two that will be happening next month.

Last night, The Surly Temple gave a great performance in our studio.  The band, made up of Doug Plavin (drums, vocals), Guy Devito (bass, vocals), & Jim Henry (guitar, vocals), describes what they play as "Roots Rock Americana that's been influenced by classy and sassy Brits".
