Biking for Buddies 2016

Please join Big Brothers Big Sisters of Franklin County (BBBS-FC) on Sunday, July 24, 2016, for a morning of cycling through the scenic hills of Franklin County.  With your $40 registration fee there are 3 rides to choose from and discounts are available for children who participate.  The event features a family friendly 10 mile ride in addition to 25 and 50 mile routes.  As usual, the event will begin and end on the campus of Northfield Mount Hermon School in Gill.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Franklin County serves all of our county's 26 towns as well as Athol, Phillipston, Royalston, and Petersham.  The organization has 4 great fundraisers coming up so mark your calendars for Bowl for Kids' Sake on April 16th, The Future Begins Here Gala on May 1st, Free Soup & Games Night on June 6th, and Biking for Buddies on July 24th.

BBBS Red Sox Mentoring Challenge Tomorrow

On Tuesday, August 18th, from 6PM to 8PM, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Franklin County will host a free, fun event at the new Hubie’s Tavern & Restaurant on Avenue A in Turners Falls. All are welcome to attend and learn about local mentoring programs by meeting current Big Brothers and Big Sisters and program staff. Bring a friend or two and enjoy live music on the patio, free appetizers and raffles, and great company!

Biking for Buddies! Still Time to Sign Up

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Franklin County will be holding its 3rd annual Biking for Buddies bicycle ride on Sunday, July 27th, 2014. Featuring 10, 25, and 50 mile cycling routes, this recreational ride will begin and end on the campus of Northfield Mount Hermon (NMH) School in Gill, with the longest route’s riders departing at 8AM. Routes and logistical support will be provided by Bicycles & Skis Unlimited of Greenfield.

Greenfield to be Featured on Channel 40 Monday

On Monday, December 16th, Greenfield will be the featured community on the WABC/Channel 40 nightly broadcast, live on the town common from 5:00-6:30 p.m. The broadcast will highlight a variety of happenings around the town, from holiday shopping at Wilson’s to construction of the new Greenfield High School. A local charity, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Franklin County, will be the focus of donations during the broadcast, not just from passersby but also via a link on the WABC 40 website.
