Local Citizens to Participate in Nation's Largest Climate Rally

From a ForwardOnClimate.org Western MA Alliance press release:

Chartered buses and car loads of concerned citizens and students from western Massachusetts will travel to Washington, DC to join what is predicted to be the largest climate rally in US history on Sunday February 17, 2013.  Sponsored by the Sierra Club, 350.org, and Hip Hop Caucus, the Forward on Climate rally at the National Mall will bring together thousands of voices around the country sounding the alarm of run-away global warming. The purpose of the rally is to urge President Obama to aggressively address climate change and to begin by stopping development of the Keystone XL Canadian tar sands pipeline.

Free Occupy Movement Film Showing 3/28/12

Occupy Cinema! is an hour of short films about the Occupy Movement made by activist-participants in various parts of the United States and abroad.  This free screening has been organized by members of Occupy Franklin County.  It will be at the Arts Block, 289 Main Street in Greenfield, starting at 7pm on Wednesday, March 28.  Refreshments will be available from Arts Block.
