Northwestern DA Wins Grant to Prosecute Fraud

The Northwestern District Attorney’s Office has received a $25,000 grant, from the Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB)of Massachusetts, that will help it continue efforts to identify and prosecute car insurance fraud, and other forms of insurance fraud, in Hampshire and Franklin counties and the town of Athol.

DA Sullivan Supports Hate Crimes Hotline

Northwestern District Attorney David E. Sullivan strongly condemns recent hate-filled graffiti on Mount Tom and other criminal acts against minorities, nationwide, that have been reported in recent days. He encourages area residents who believe they have witnessed or been the target of bias-motivated threats, harassment, and/or intimidation to immediately report it to their local police department and to call a new hotline established by Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey.  Residents who fear for their immediate safety should call 911.

Put a dent in identity theft by bringing your old documents, paperwork, bills, and more to the Guiding Star Grange Hall on Saturday, September 24th, from 10AM to 2PM.  This is a terrific opportunity to protect your personal information because there's no limit on the amount of material you can have shredded and computer hard drives and unwanted cell phones will also be welcome.

Greenfield School Committee Meeting --- August 10, 2016

This meeting was recorded live in our studio and included the election of Adrienne Nunez as the committee's new vice chair and Susan Hollins as secretary.  In addition, the commitee received feedback from the Human Rights Commission, Northwestern District Attorney Sullivan, and Greenfield Police Chief Haigh about a proposed memorandum of understanding between the schools and the police department.
