Think the Better Business Bureau doesn't have anything to do with a holiday about romance?  Think again!  Unfortunately, in today's society, scammers show up everywhere---even in places where you are trying to find love or pick out a gift for your sweetie.  Thankfully, the BBB has some helpful hints to keep you safe as you navigate the online dating waters or attempt to purchase the perfect Valentine's Day present.

Local Movie Premieres Thursday at Garden

With help from their teachers and GCTV, students at Four Rivers Charter Public School have once again produced their own documentary and will premiere it to the public at a red-carpet event at the Greenfield Garden Cinemas on Thursday, February 11th, at 7PM.  The film is the final product of their learning expedition, entitled “How do we Keep the Lights On?”, and looks at Burlington, Vermont’s innovative journey to become an entirely carbon neutral city.

Deadline Approaches for BBB Scholarship

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Central New England and BBB's Consumer Education Foundation (CEF) are reminding local students to apply for the Barbara J. Sinnott Student of Integrity Scholarship before the January 31, 2016 deadline.  The scholarship awards $1,000 each to 4 graduating high school students who demonstrate a commitment to the ideals of the Better Business Bureau. Scholarships will be awarded to those students who reside in the communities served by BBB of Central New England which includes central and western Massachusetts and northeastern Connecticut.

2 Greenfield Finalists in Baking Contest

Historic Deerfield is pleased to announce that Jeri Case and Carolyn Engle, both of Greenfield, are among the finalists in this year's Historic Deerfield King Arthur Flour Heritage Baking Recipe Contest, with their "Candy Cane Cookies" and "Raisin-Filled Cookies", respectively.  A great number of submissions were received for the contest, which asked amateur bakers to send in their best family holiday cookie recipe.  The winners will be chosen on Saturday, December 5th, during Heritage Baking Day at Historic Deerfield, by an esteemed panel of judges.
