We have a lot to tell you about today!  To celebrate International Women's Day March 8th, and recognize female contributions to society all month long, our New Media Producer, Alicia, is putting together a series of short videos for March featuring interviews with women in male-dominated fields.  In addition, we are empowering women to take more of a role in television production by training our latest crop of interns, both of whom are female.

Public Hearing on Status of Women to be Held Tuesday

From a Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women (MCSW) press release:

The Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women (MCSW) and the town of Greenfield will co-host a public hearing on October 24, 2012, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. The hearing will be held at the Greenfield High School, located at 1 Lennox Avenue, Greenfield, MA 01301. 

The purpose of the hearing is to give all stakeholders in Greenfield as well as those in the surrounding community the opportunity to discuss issues and concerns important to women, as well as the gaps or barriers they have experienced in the provision of services available. Citizens, government officials, and organizations that advocate for women and families in the region are invited to attend and encouraged to participate in the open public hearing by providing testimony/recommendations.
