Arlington Film Fest Call for Entries

Adapted from an Arlington International Film Festival (AIFF) press release:

Attention local filmmakers of all ages and experience levels!  The Arlington International Film Festival is looking for both long and short movies to be entered in its annual competition.  AIFF is an award winning organization with a mission to foster appreciation for different cultures by exploring the lives of people around the globe through independent film.  AIFF believes that the arts are here to connect us, to communicate across boundaries, and touch our common humanity.  AIFF welcomes innovative, original films with unique perspectives, whether they are made by professionals or first-time filmmakers.

Reminder: Film Festival Tonight!

Adapted from a Skolnick Films/Dead Henchmen Productions press release:

The public is invited to the Greenfield Garden Cinemas at 7PM when filmmakers from all over New England will be screening their work for one night only!  Tickets will be available at the door and are $9 each for adults, $8 each for seniors and military.  Due to the graphic nature of some of the films, younger audiences are discouraged from attending.

Weekly Wrap-up

Well, the election is over but, though we are happy to be moving on, there are a few last things about it we want to share with you.  We were very pleased to see an almost 73% turnout in Greenfield on Election Day.  We would still prefer to get to 100% but it was nice to see a distinct lack of apathy this time around.
