YouthFilm 2016 Call for Entries

Adapted from a Northampton Arts Council press release:

The Northampton Arts Council is now accepting entries for YouthFilm 2016, part of the annual youth-centric film festival called KidsBestFest which will be presented from February 15th through 19th.  Filmmakers aged 18 and under in the Pioneer Valley area are invited to submit short films (10 minutes or less) for consideration.  All subjects and genres are welcome.  A selection committee will screen the submissions and filmmakers will be notified of results in early February.   Selected films will then be screened at the Academy of Music Theatre in Northampton on February 19, 2016.

The Northampton Arts Council will once again present YouthFilm, a week-long festival of videos created by area youth and screened at the famous Academy of Music Theatre in downtown Northampton.  The festival accepts film and video entries from throughout the region by young people from 5–18 years old.

As we said last week, we like being in the center of life in Greenfield.  To that end, we’re encouraging you to come out and have some fun during the second “First Friday Greenfield” event tonight.  There will be deals, performers, and prizes all over downtown, as well as, hopefully, some lovely weather.  Have a nice dinner at a local restaurant, buy something you need at a discount, or just listen to some music and enjoy a sense of community.
