Whew, What a Week!

We got really lucky that Monday & Tuesday’s snowstorm didn’t dump several feet on our town and knock out power to the county.  Even so, much of routine life in the Valley came to a standstill because of the predicted blizzard conditions.  We hope you all stayed safe and had some fun.  At least, this year, it’s unlikely we won’t have any snow for Winter Carnival!

Public Input Sought

Adapted from two press releases:

Next week, Greenfield's Human Rights Commission (HRC) and the Franklin Regional Council of Governments (FRCOG), along with other towns and state agencies, will be looking for your feedback.  On Monday evening, options for improving Hillside Park will be discussed with the HRC, Mayor Martin, and Margaret Betts.  Then, on Tuesday night, the FRCOG invites you to learn about, and share your thoughts on, local clean energy options.

This Week in the News

After another busy week, we take a little time to reflect on some of the news stories we worked on:

On Tuesday, Massachusetts lawmakers released their proposed maps for redrawing state House and Senate districts.  Our Station Manager immediately got on the phone with local legislators, setting up interviews to get their thoughts on the new political lines as they relate to Greenfield, and we hope to post that story on our homepage next week.
