Author Judith Dickerman-Nelson in Shelburne Falls

We are excited about the upcoming appearance of Judith Dickerman-Nelson, the author of Believe in Me: A Teen Mom's Story.  She will be at Boswell's Books, 10 Bridge St., Shelburne Falls, at 6pm on Thursday, March 14.  Her story, beautifully told, recounts her journey from honor student and cheerleader at a Catholic girl's school in Massachusetts who has to reconcile pressure to have an abortion-- from her boyfriends's family- with her own conscience as a Catholic and adopted child herself. Her experiences, thought processes, and decision are especially relevant for teenagers and their parents, but also resonate with all of us.

The United Arc will hold its Annual Spring Auction on Saturday, March 9, from 4 – 7 pm at Greenfield Community College.  All proceeds benefit services and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Places We Live Opening Reception
