Whew!  Now that we can take a breather to look back over yesterday, we’d like to share a few thoughts with you about our coverage of the Franklin County Fair Parade and Massachusetts’ Primary Elections.

Contra Dance September 14th

Get ready for some high energy dance tunes!  There will be a Contra Dance at the Guiding Star Grange, 401 Chapman Street, Greenfield, on Friday, September 14th.  A beginner session will be held at 7:30pm with the dance itself following, from 8-11pm.  All dances will be taught by Steven Howland, Caller.  Steven is a local caller and musician who has been active in the dance community for over 25 years and is known for his clear calling and entertaining dances that are a pleasure for experienced dancers, yet accessible to beginners.

Looking Forward To A Busy Thursday

As we’ve pointed out before, Thursday, September 6th, will be Primary Elections Day in Massachusetts in addition to being the kickoff for the Franklin County Fair.  We will be very busy that day making sure you get the most out of both events.

"Dolphin Tale" Free Movie in Athol Tomorrow

A dolphin, caught in a crab trap damages her fin. After being rescued and going to the Clearwater Marie Hospital her chances don’t look so great.  Strangers come together to try and save this dolphin’s life.

Ellis Paul To Sing at FCTS Fundraiser

On Thursday night, September 20th, singing/songwriting legend Ellis Paul will perform during a fundraising event, for the Franklin County Technical School (FCTS), at Burrito Rojo in Turners Falls.  FCTS has obtained full sponsorship of the event from Siemens Building Technologies, allowing the proceeds from each ticket sold to go entirely to the music program and more specifically the drum line team.
