Ways You Can Help This Holiday Season

Adapted from multiple press releases:

If you're in a position to be purchasing gifts for friends and relatives this month, how about sharing your bounty with those less fortunate?  Area nonprofits work hard year-round to provide basics to needy families, a job that's gotten more difficult as budget cuts and unemployment increase, but they are offering some special ways for you to get involved this holiday season.  For instance, the United Arc is asking for the community's help to raise $15,000 to support its rapidly growing food pantry; our local United Way has book, toy, and matching gift programs, and Greening Greenfield is participating in Valley Gives this coming Wednesday.
