COOP Concerts Coming Soon!

Adapted from a COOP Concerts press releases:

The 14th season of Coop Concerts at Greenfield's Energy Park (50 Miles Street) will begin on May 25th at 6PM.  Since the park opened in 2004, this free community concert series has been a Thursday evening tradition for Franklin County's music lovers, and talented musicians, and makes great use of its comfortable, family friendly, setting.  Musical styles include folk, country, string bands, singer/songwriter, bluegrass, Americana, Celtic, comedy, rock, pop, and Zydeco.

A Couple of Quick Updates

First of all, we're so glad that the ceiling fixture in our studio is no longer coming apart and that the problem was not as big as we feared.  It turns out that the decoration is made out of plaster, not bronze, so it does not weigh hundreds of pounds.  Once the guys from Mowry & Schmidt got up there, it didn't take them very long at all to inspect the area and pronounce it sound.  Then they made short work of bolting the hanging piece back in place.  As you can see from this picture, there are no more scary shadows:

An Eventful Week

In addition to their regular duties these last few days, our staff members dealt with a power failure in the WMCB live radio studio, helped the Greenfield Kiwanis Club prepare for its telethon in May, and covered a variety of special events in town.
