Greenfield Begins Implementing Technology Master Plan

This just in and adapted from a Greenfield Mayor's Office press release:

Last night, the Greenfield Town Council voted in favor of creating a town-owned Municipal Light Plant (MLP) to be named the Greenfield Technology Department (GTD). This vote was the second vote in consecutive years authorizing the town to move forward with its plans to create a municipally owned telecommunications department which will build, own, and operate a broadband network serving the town and every business and resident that chooses to call Greenfield home.

Work continues on repair of the wooden covered bridge over the Green River, damaged by tropical storm Irene in 2011. After more than ten years of closure, residents are eager to have the northern transportation route open again.
