Greenfield Town Council Meeting --- March 15, 2017

During Wednesday night's meeting, a substantial public comment session featured students from Four Rivers Charter Public School endorsing the concept of Sanctuary Cities and many residents opposing development along French King Highway.  Afterwards, the council approved most of the mayor's proposed Fiscal Year 2018 Capital Budget.

Greenfield Ways & Means Meeting --- March 15, 2017

At this meeting, the Greenfield Town Council Ways & Means Committee voted to approve most of the mayor's proposed Fiscal Year 2018 Capital Budget.  Committee members removed $30,000 intended to replace guardrails and held off on some appropriations for the town clerk and public works until more information is provided to the council.

Northwestern DA Wins Grant to Prosecute Fraud

The Northwestern District Attorney’s Office has received a $25,000 grant, from the Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB)of Massachusetts, that will help it continue efforts to identify and prosecute car insurance fraud, and other forms of insurance fraud, in Hampshire and Franklin counties and the town of Athol.

2017 Dog Licenses Now Available

The Greenfield Town Clerk’s Office reminds residents that all dogs are required to be licensed by April 1st.  Fees are $10 for spayed & neutered dogs and $15 for males & females.  If a dog has not previously been registered, dog owners must present a current rabies certificate and a neutered/spayed certificate from their veterinarian.
