This just in:

The Town of Greenfield now has a Facilities Manager and two new police officers.  George VanDelinder, PE, Officer Jeremy Felton, and Officer Emily Roswell have joined the ranks of town employees.

Greenfield Solar Farm Earns Award

The Dept. of Public Works received notice last week that the Town’s newly constructed solar facility, on the capped landfill off of Cumberland Rd., has been awarded the 2012 Renewal Award –"Brownfields for Energy/Brownfields to Brightfield” by Brownfield Renewal.

Making Downtown More Beautiful

Monday, November 5th, 6:30PM at The Arts Block (corner of Main & Federal Streets)

How can we make Downtown Greenfield more beautiful, vibrant and more sustainable?  The Greenfield Tree Committee and the Greenfield Department of Planning and Development have invited Paul Cawood Hellmund, director of the Conway School, Graduate Program in Sustainable Landscape Planning & Design to talk about Greenfield Revitalization & Beautification:  Strategies for Ecological Resilience, and listen to our ideas.  Eric Twarog, Director of Greenfield's Department of Planning and Development will also talk about the Town's plans.  The event is free and refreshments will be served.

2nd Community Forum Tonight!

Tonight's meeting is on!  Join the Greenfield Town Council's Community Relations & Education (CRE) Committee for a Public Forum from 6:30pm to 8pm at Greenfield Community College's (GCC) Downtown Center.  Greenfield's Police Chief Burge, Fire Chief Winn, Department of Public Works Director Shields, and Recreation Department Director Moore will make short presentations and then participate in Question & Answer sessions.  In addition, councilors from Precincts 1, 2, 4 and At-Large councilors will be on hand to discuss town services.
