Continuing to Keep You Informed

Keeping You Informed About Local Government

This is a very busy time for local officials.  It’s budget season so the ways & means committee is meeting every week, on Tuesday voters will go to the polls to decide whether or not to approve a proposition 2 ½ override to build a new high school, and our regular town election will be June 12th.  GCTV's staff is working hard to make sure that information about all of these events is available to anyone who wants it.

Unclaimed Property Auction Yields $434,000 for Taxpayers

From a Massachusetts State Treasurer's Office press release:

Treasurer Steven Grossman today announced that the recently completed eBay auction conducted by his office’s Unclaimed Property Division has generated $434,000 in revenue for the Commonwealth’s General Fund, a 52 percent increase over the appraised value of the sold items.

MassDOT Public Hearing About Fiscal ‘13 Budget

From a Massachusetts Department of Transportation press release:

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will conduct a series of public hearings on the Patrick-Murray Administration’s upcoming Fiscal Year 2013 budget.  Secretary Richard Davey and Division Administrators look forward to discussing budget priorities, challenges and solutions.
