After addressing this morning's Franklin County Chamber of Commerce breakfast, some of our state legislators shared about what they are working on to make area residents' lives better.

Greenfield Town Council Meeting --- June 21, 2017

There was much discussion, at last night's meeting, before council members appropriated $300,000 for construction of a new Greenfield Department of Public Works building.  Councilors also approved a long slate of mayoral appointees, several year end interdepartmental money transfers, & initiation of a sign regulation zoning amendment.

Greenfield School Committee Meeting --- June 14, 2017

Last night, the committee discussed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Greenfield Public Schools & the town's Human Resources (HR) Department, the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget & teacher pay, Expanded Learning Time (ELT) grants, open meeting law, & more.

Greenfield Town Council Meeting --- May 17, 2017

At last night's meeting, the council approved an amendment cutting 1% from Mayor Martin's proposed Fiscal Year 2018 Operating Budget and then passed the amended document.  In addition, they unanimously approved an ordinance creating a Civil Rights Officer position for the town.

After this morning's "How Healthy is Franklin County?" presentation, the Franklin Regional Council of Governments Director of Community Services spoke with us about making sure everyone has the resources they need.

Greenfield Town Council Meeting --- March 15, 2017

During Wednesday night's meeting, a substantial public comment session featured students from Four Rivers Charter Public School endorsing the concept of Sanctuary Cities and many residents opposing development along French King Highway.  Afterwards, the council approved most of the mayor's proposed Fiscal Year 2018 Capital Budget.
