Greenfield Resident SerahRose Roth brings “Two-Headed” home

From a GAN-e-meed Theatre Project press release:

SerahRose Roth is proud to bring GAN-e-meed Theatre Project’s production of Julie Jensen’s Two-Headed home as part of its New England tour.  This intimate exploration of the friendship of two women on the early Mormon frontier features Roth (GAN-e-meed’s Executive Artistic Director) and Brattleboro, VT native Kara Manson. Becky Webber, who played Horatio in GAN-e-meed’s 2011 all-female Hamlet starring Roth, directs.

“I am thrilled to bring a piece of art with which I am integrally involved into my own community, for the first time.  That doesn’t happen a lot with professional theatre” says Roth.  She moved here with her young daughter in 2011 after acting, directing and producing theatre in Boston and Chicago, and continues to lead GAN-e-meed, whose work is most often performed in Boston.  “In Greenfield, I found a vibrant community that supports the arts as integral to life. From the start, GAN-e-meed has valued the opportunity to bring high quality theatre to smaller communities.  Greenfield has a thriving culture that is simply aching for more theatre arts.”
