Greenfield Town Council Meeting --- August 19, 2015

At this meeting, after a lengthy public comment period, the council appointed David Singer to fill the remainder of Dalton Athey's At Large term.  They then approved various appointments, an Economic Development Incentive Program (EDIP) & TIF agreement for Toyota of Greenfield, appropriating $1.4 million from general stabilization to stabilize the tax rate, a zoning amendment to allow a private club/membership organization (King's Gym) within the general industry zoning district, 3 non-binding ballot questions relating to plastic bans, a resolution in support of front-line mental health workers at Clinical Support Options (CSO), a lease agreement for 298 Federal Street to be used as a detox, and more.  Click the READ MORE>> link to watch the meeting.

Greenfield Town Council Meeting --- July 15, 2015

At this meeting, the council tabled the Greenfield Plastic Waste Reduction citizens' petition, which now requires more signatures to get on the November ballot, and an Economic Development Incentive Program (EDIP) for Toyota.  They also approved appointments to various boards & commissions; many reserve fund & interpartmental money transfers; a change to the liquor license for A.

After they addressed this morning's chamber of commerce breakfast, several of our state legislators spoke to us about this year's budget process and priorities for funding.

Greenfield Town Council Budget Meeting --- June 24, 2015

At this meeting, the council approved the mayor's proposed 2016 Operating Budget, Capital Improvement Plan, Sewer Enterprise Fund, Water Enterprise Fund, and revolving funds.  They also appropriated $129,000 from Free Cash to Capital Stabilization and $180,000 from Contractual Agreement Stabilization to the Negotiated Salary Account, as well as agreeing to borrow $125,000 for a feasibility study relating to the replacement of roofing, windows, and a boiler at Federal Street School.

Greenfield Ways & Means Meeting --- June 24, 2015

This meeting of the Greenfield Town Council's Ways & Means Committee was recorded live in our studio & included review of the mayor's proposed 2016 Capital Budget & testimony relating to it from Greenfield Finance Director Lane Kelly, Mayor Martin, & Police Chief Haigh.  In addition, School Committee Chair Calderwood & GPS Superintendent Harper answered questions about the education portion of the operating budget.
