Greenfield Town Council Meeting --- March 18, 2015

At this meeting, the council approved several appointments, appropriated $10,000 from General Stabilization to move the town clerk's office, approved an increased spending limit for the Property Maintenance for Forclosures Revolving Fund, had an informal discussion about the idea to give $10,000 to each councilor to spend in their district, and approved a change in date for a special election regarding the town's municipal internet service provider (ISP) proposal.

Greenfield Town Council Meeting --- February 18, 2015

At this meeting, the council spoke at length with the mayor, superintendent, and school committee chair about renting space for municipal offices and moving school administration out of their Davis Street building.  The council also approved two appointments, the superintendent submitting an application to the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) for repairs to Green River School, transferring $720,000 from Free Cash to General Stabilization, a TIF for Argotec, deficit spending for snow and ice removal, and revaluation of commerical and industrial land in town.

Greenfield Town Council Meeting --- January 21, 2015

At this meeting, the council approved Russell Kimball's appointment to the ZBA, an appropriation of $50,000 from Capital Stabilization for technology upgrades, the superintendent submitting a MSBA Statement of Interest for repairs to Federal Street School, a request for $11,000 in Parking Funds, and a resolution regarding safeguards at the Vermont Yankee nuclear power plant.

Greenfield Town Council Meeting --- December 17, 2014

At this meeting, the council approved an ordinance regarding vacant & foreclosing properties, a liquor license for The Hanger/Wings Over Greenfield, an appropriation of $150,000 for demolition of the HAPCO building, and moving $250,000 from Free Cash to Building Maintenance Stabilization.  They voted down an appropriation of $18,000 for parking signage and new parking permits, as well as moving $720,000 from Free Cash to General Stabilization.

At this meeting, the council rejected the idea of accepting Massachusetts General Law regarding collective bargaining for employee health insurance, decided on a Fiscal Year 2015 Tax Classification of 1, and made arrangements for land and money to be dedicated to creating a dog park in town.
