Some Greenfield schoolchildren got a great lesson in bicycle safety this week.

Greenfield Town Council Meeting --- May 17, 2017

At last night's meeting, the council approved an amendment cutting 1% from Mayor Martin's proposed Fiscal Year 2018 Operating Budget and then passed the amended document.  In addition, they unanimously approved an ordinance creating a Civil Rights Officer position for the town.

To celebrate Arbor Day, the Greenfield Department of Public Works & Greenfield Tree Committee, with help from students at the Greenfield Girl's Club, planted a ceremonial tree at the corner of Pierce and Davis Streets.

Greenfield Town Council Meeting --- April 19, 2017

On Wednesday night, the council approved a $200,000 appropriation for dredging of the Leyden Glen Resevoir, Jay Lord's appointment to the Sustainable Greenfield Implementation Committee, and moving their meeting location to Greenfield High School as of July 1, 2017.

Greenfield School Committee Meeting --- April 12, 2017

This meeting was recorded live in our studio and included an update on the proposed Fiscal Year 2018 budget for the school department, recognition of Grinspoon Award winners, approval of the Innovation Plan for the Discovery School at Four Corners, and a report on energy use in school buildings.  The committee also discussed potential contracts with legal counsel.
