Greenfield Town Council Meeting --- April 19, 2017

On Wednesday night, the council approved a $200,000 appropriation for dredging of the Leyden Glen Resevoir, Jay Lord's appointment to the Sustainable Greenfield Implementation Committee, and moving their meeting location to Greenfield High School as of July 1, 2017.

During Wednesday night's meeting, a substantial public comment session featured students from Four Rivers Charter Public School endorsing the concept of Sanctuary Cities and many residents opposing development along French King Highway.  Afterwards, the council approved most of the mayor's proposed Fiscal Year 2018 Capital Budget.

Greenfield Ways & Means Meeting --- March 15, 2017

At this meeting, the Greenfield Town Council Ways & Means Committee voted to approve most of the mayor's proposed Fiscal Year 2018 Capital Budget.  Committee members removed $30,000 intended to replace guardrails and held off on some appropriations for the town clerk and public works until more information is provided to the council.

During last night's meeting, close to 50 people spoke during a 2-hour public comment session and most of them were against a proposed amendment to the current zoning on French King Highway.  Afterwards, the council tabled that amendment and approved moving $1.6 million from Free Cash to 5 stabilization funds.
