Voter Registration Deadline 10/15/14 for State Election

The Town Clerk’s office of Greenfield advises residents that the last day to register to vote or change their address for the Massachusetts General Election scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2014, will be Wednesday, October 15, 2014.   The Town Clerk’s Office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on that date.

Voter Registration Deadline 8/20/14 for State Primary Election

The Town Clerk’s office of Greenfield advises residents that the last day to register to vote, or change their address or party affiliation, for the State Primary Election that is scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, 2014, will be Wednesday, August 20, 2014.   The Town Clerk’s Office will be open from 8:30AM to 8PM on that date.

Voter Registration Deadline for April 15, 2014 Preliminary Election

The Greenfield Town Clerk’s office advises residents that the last day to register to vote or change their address for the Preliminary Election will be Wednesday, March 26, 2014.   The Town Clerk’s Office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on that date.

All three Republican candidates running for US Senate, in the primary on April 30th, will be on hand for a meet & greet in Orange on Sunday, April 14th, between 3pm and 5pm.  The event will be hosted by the Orange Republican Town Committee and will be held at the Orange American Legion, Daniel Shays Highway (Route 202), in Orange.

Weekly Wrap-up

Well, the election is over but, though we are happy to be moving on, there are a few last things about it we want to share with you.  We were very pleased to see an almost 73% turnout in Greenfield on Election Day.  We would still prefer to get to 100% but it was nice to see a distinct lack of apathy this time around.
