BFMC Again Offers Yoga for Cancer Survivors

Adapted from a Baystate Franklin Medical Center (BFMC) press release:

Baystate Franklin Medical Center’s Oncology Department will present a free, 8 week, yoga class, Gentle Yoga for Cancer Survivors, at the YMCA of Greenfield, on Wednesdays, from January 6th through February 24th, 2016, from 12PM to 1:30PM.  The course facilitator is Pam Roberts, a 20-year breast cancer survivor and certified Kripalu Yoga teacher.  Ms. Roberts is also a certified Yoga of the Heart for Cardiac and Cancer Patients instructor.

CRE to Hold Public Forum on Wood Burning

On Monday, September 28, 2015, the Greenfield Town Council's Community Relations & Education (CRE) Committee will host a forum on the human health and environmental impacts of residential wood burning and will present information on wood burning practices that improve air quality and energy efficiency.  Anyone attending will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss ideas.

Nurturing Program for Families in Recovery

Starting September 8th, The Salasin Center will once again offer a 16 week series of The Nurturing Program for families in addiction recovery.  This is a highly acclaimed program dealing with the many challenges of parenthood.  It will take place on Tuesdays, from 1PM to 2:30PM, at The Salasin Center in Greenfield.  There is no cost to participants, and childcare will be available, however, pre-registration is required.
