So Much Going on at BFMC

Our local hospital is offering several ways for people to help with, and be helped by, the programs they offer.  In the coming weeks, Baystate Franklin Medical Center (BFMC) will hold yoga classes for cancer survivors, host the Organize Your Life Expo, and team up with the Hallmark Institute of Photography for a special fundraiser.

Help Teach Pain Management

Franklin County Home Care Corporation (FCHCC) believes that there is a tremendous need for another option that people living with chronic pain can use to improve their situation.  To that end, FCHCC is offering a "Chronic Pain Self-Management Program" leader training on October 21st, 22nd, 28th, & 29th.  This evidence-based curriculum offers tools, skills, and the confidence one needs to take control, self-manage, and improve one's quality of life.

BFMC Offers Cholesterol Screening 10/8

Baystate Franklin Medical Center will hold a Cardiac Risk Cholesterol Screening next Wednesday, October 8th, from 8:30AM to 9:30AM in Conference Room A.  The cost for the screening is $10 and pre-registration is required.

Give Blood, Save a Life

The Baystate Health Blood Donor Mobile will host a blood drive on Tuesday, September 23rd, from 11AM to 4PM.  “The fall is an important time to get out and give blood, as we are completing the summer months – a crucial time for blood donation,” said Saundra Rose, blood donor recruiter for Baystate Health.  “The top reason people do not give blood is because they have never been asked, so we are asking you now to donate the gift of life this fall.  All of our blood donations are used within our local communities.  Donors can make a difference in the lives of their own families, friends and neighbors.”

Gentle Yoga for Cancer Survivors Starts 9/3

An Opportunity to Give Blood on Tuesday

The Baystate Health Blood Donor Mobile will host a blood drive on Tuesday, July 22nd, from 11AM to 4PM, in the hospital’s Medical Office Building parking lot (48 Sanderson Street in Greenfield).  All blood types are needed.  Eligible blood donors will receive a one-day pass to Six Flags New England.
