The Salasin Center, which encompasses the Greenfield Women's Resource Center (GWRC) and the Family United Network (FUN), is happy to announce the hiring of a new staff member, Elizabeth Dlugosz.  The center also wants the community to know that there will be no family dinner/dance nights in July and the facilities will be closed July 21-25.

There's a lot going on at Greenfield's hospital!  A hard-working Greenfield Community College Student has received a scholarship from the Baystate Franklin Auxiliary, the public is invited to a free Health & Safety Fair on June 5th (***THE LOCATION FOR THIS HAS CHANGED, read more for details***), and BFMC will be doing cholesterol screening on the 11th.

The Oncology Department at Baystate Franklin Medical Center and Joel Gordon, MD, dermatologist, will co-sponsor a free skin cancer screening on Friday, May 16th, from 2pm to 4:30pm, in the BFMC Oncology Department.  During the screening, Dr. Gordon will examine new growths that are less than one year old, as well as old growths that have changed in color, size, shape, and/or pain level or are causing irritation or bleeding.  The screening is not intended for individuals with skin rashes or for those who have seen a dermatologist in the past year.
