The Family United Network (FUN), part of The Salasin Center, is proud to announce the formation of a new, ongoing, support group for parents, beginning February 12, 2014.  Participants will meet on Wednesdays from 1pm to 2:30pm.  This group will be facilitated by Lynn Norwood & Melissa O’Malley, who have been providing The Nurturing Families 16 week program through The Salasin Project & The Recover Project.  Parents Supporting Parents is free to attend and offered to all parents & grandparents in the community.

The Salasin Center, which encompasses the Greenfield Women's Resource Center (GWRC) and the Family United Network (FUN), has altered its program schedule for 2014.  The biggest difference is that open hours for the GWRC have changed and extended so that they are now Mondays from 3pm to 5pm and Fridays from 12pm to 3pm.  In addition, the Wednesday GWRC Art group has moved to Mondays, from 1pm to 3pm, and Journey Dance on Tuesday evenings has a new start time, so that it now runs from 5pm to 6:30pm.

Coming up at Baystate Franklin Medical Center (BFMC), the public will recieve the gift of music as BFMC's "Clinical Notes", a hospital-based women's a cappella chorus, performs a free holiday concert, "Sing Noel", on Friday, December 20th, from 12:15pm to 1pm, in the hospital's Main Conference Rooms.  Then, individuals will have the opportunity to give the gift of life when the Baystate Health Blood Donor Mobile hosts a blood drive on Monday, December 23rd, from 10am to 3pm, in the parking lot behind the hospital’s main building.

The Salasin Center (Greenfield Women's Resource Center) is a place for women to build community, support each other, and heal and empower themselves.  Open/drop-in hours are Mondays from 1-4pm, Wednesdays from 3-5pm, and Fridays from 12-1:30pm.  A sample of their offerings include:  Journey Dance on Tuesdays from 5:30-7pm at The RPX, a Women's Art Group Wednesdays from 1-3pm, Women's Peer to Peer writing group Fridays from 10am-12pm, and FUN Center family time every Thursday from 3:30-6:30pm.
