This week, we're pleased to be able to tell you about two projects we're working on in partnership with several area organizations. The first, in anticipation of St. Patrick's Day, is the brainchild of independent producer David Sherman. We'll be helping him, and the great staff at Falls Cable, film one of the traditional Irish music sessions that are currently taking place at McCusker's Market in Shelburne Falls every other Sunday morning. Dave is very interested in this type of music and wants more people to know how much local talent exists in this genre. We think making a video will be a great way for him to do that.
The Northwestern District Attorney's Office also wants to get its message out to folks so they are cooperating with us, and Northampton Community Television (NCTV)'s superlative crew, to create a program for their Safe Storage Campaign. The campaign encourages everyone to keep medication out of the hands of people to whom it wasn't prescribed, especially youth who want to take it recreationally, and shares concrete steps to accomplish that goal. Our part of the show involves recording footage of Greenfield's own Dr. Ruth Potee explaining why this is so important.
