Get Out & Vote!

Participating in the democratic process is very important; if you don't vote, you don't get a say in how our government works.  In addition, if you don't take the time to cast your ballot, you don't really have a right to complain if you disagree with the way elected officials are doing their jobs.

Participating in the democratic process is also easy! On Tuesday, Greenfield's polling location at the new high school will be open from 7AM to 8PM and voting should only take you about 10 minutes from start to finish.  You don't even need to be registered as a member of 1 of the 4 parties holding primaries in order to vote.  If your official voter registration is unenrolled, also known as Independent, you can simply choose which party's ballot you would like when you check in.  If you need more information about who's running, casting an absentee ballot, or how to get a ride to the polls, click here.

One final note, voting in the Presidential Primary on March 1st will have more of an impact than you might think.  In addition to helping narrow down the candidates for our country's top office, you will be electing local residents to serve on each party's town and state committee.  This is your only chance to pick the people who will do much of the organizing work, like scheduling candidate debates, for each party over the next 4 years.
