HRC Wants Your Input on Use of Force

Adapted from a Greenfield Human Rights Commission (HRC) press release:

On Monday, January 13, 2014, at 6:00 PM in the Greenfield Town Hall meeting room, the Greenfield Human Rights Commission invites you to present your perspective at a hearing entitled: "Social Implications of Using Force by Greenfield Police Officers".

Topics at this meeting will include:

        *A review of the police department's less than lethal force policy;

        *The use of an Electronic Control Weapon (ECW)** as less than lethal force;

        *Other weapons of force as options within the department's use of force policy.

        *The Reporting requirements of G.L. c. 140, § 131J and St.2004, c. 170.

Greenfield's Town Hall is located at 4 Court Square and the meeting room is on the second floor.

General questions about the Human Rights Commission should be directed to Chairman Lew Metaxas and questions specific to this topic can be directed to Commissioner Hassan Elzeneiny.
