Pat & Tex to Perform Friday & Saturday

Adapted from a Pat & Tex LaMountain press release:

Local musicians Pat & Tex LaMountain will be supporting two community events this weekend.  On Friday afternoon, you'll be able to find them at Clarkdale Fruit Farms and, on Saturday morning, they'll be entertaining crowds at the Greenfield Farmers' Market.

On Friday afternoon, July 11th, Pat & Tex plan to be at Clarkdale Fruit Farms in Deerfield (one of their favorite local farms).  According to the LaMountains, "Seems that a pipeline carrying fracked "natural gas" has been proposed to be dug right thru Clarkdale's fine peach and apple orchards and many other conservation restricted lands in Western Mass."  State representatives, farmers, other impacted landowners, musicians, and environmentally concerned citizens will be gathering on Friday afternoon to support efforts to stop this proposal.  Around 3PM, a runner is expected, carrying a piece of pipe which is being relayed across the state to draw public attention to this issue.

Then, this Saturday, July 12th, from 10AM to Noon, Pat & Tex LaMountain, with John White on bass and Rick Mauran on drums, will be at the Greenfield Farmers' Market.  Say the LaMountains, "We always have fun of our favorite local gigs.  Half of the county shows up to stock up on local produce and assorted other fine products."  The market is located on Court Square at the Town Common in Greenfield.  The public is welcome to bring their own chairs to sit on during the performance.
