What's Happening at The Salasin Center?

Adapted from The Salasin Center press releases:

The Salasin Center, which encompasses the Greenfield Women's Resource Center (GWRC) and the Family United Network (FUN), has a lot going on this month!  In addition to the ongoing Parents Supporting Parents group and Journey Dance class, a Summer Solstice Celebration/Women's Open Mic Night will be held on June 20th and a family dance party will happen on the 26th.

The Parents Supporting Parents group meets on Wednesdays from 1pm to 2:30pm and is facilitated by Lynn Norwood & Melissa O’Malley.  Parents Supporting Parents is free to attend and offered to all parents & grandparents in the community.  Parents with or without children are welcome and free childcare will be provided.  If you plan to attend the group and will require childcare, please call Laura Stone at (413) 774-4307 x4.  For more information about the group in general, please call Lynn Norwood at (413) 774-4307 x3 or email her at

Journey Dance is held at the RPX on Tuesday evenings from 5pm to 6:30pm.  This free class moves people through deep personal exploration into a loving, intimate relationship with body, mind, and source energy.  It's a transformational experience that does not require any previous movement or dance experience.  There is no sign up and attending every week is not required.  Please wear loose comfortable clothing when you show up.  The RPX (Recover Project Annex) is located at 1 Osgood Street in Greenfield.  For questions call Lorena Norwood at (413) 774-4307 x1 or email her at

A Summer Solstice Celebration featuring a Women's Center Open Mic is scheduled for Friday, June 20th, from 7pm to 9pm.  Come join us for an evening of poetry & music. Bring your poems, bring your songs, bring your favorite dish to share. Join us on this special evening to celebrate the Goddess in us all!

A Family Dance Party will take place this Thursday, June 26th, from 3:30-6pm, at the RPX (Recover Project Annex---1 Osgood Street in Greenfield).  This is a free event, open to all members of the community, and features a fun dance and dinner for the whole family.
