There's only a little time left to register for the "No Film Film Festival 3: Third String". This year's contest is going to be awesome; teams will be given one week to make a seven to fifteen minute film based on a bit part from a famous third string actor.  It will be challenging and the winner of the competition will walk away with a thousand dollars cash!  Also, the screening & the awards dinner will happen on the same weekend because last year we had a packed theater where a good time was had by all.  Limited registration is $60 and the deadline is May 29th at 11pm. The contest begins on May 30th at 7pm!  Teams can compete online or in person.  For more information, or to register, go to

The Arlington International Film Festival (AIFF) is announcing its "Call for Student Entries".  In keeping with our desire to promote local artists, the organizers of the festival would like to invite local student filmmakers to submit their shorts.  Part of AIFF's mission is to nurture the next generation of filmmakers within our community. We welcome your submissions.  The festival will take place October 15 - 19, 2014, at the Regent Theatre in Arlington, MA.

All films submitted need to be 30 minutes or less and fit into one of the following categories:  Narrative, Documentary, Animation, or Experimental.  The submission deadline is May 30, 2014, and all students submitting films must be under 18 years of age and enrolled in high school.  The submission fee is waived for all high school filmmakers.
