Tour the New GHS!

Adapted from a Greenfield Mayor's Office press release:

The Greenfield School Building Committee is pleased to invite citizens and taxpayers of Greenfield to tour the primary classroom wing of the new Greenfield High School (GHS) on Saturday, November 15th, from 10AM until 1PM.

After a long summer of construction, the primary classroom wing opened to students on September 2nd.  Principal Donna Woodcock reported that the opening was very smooth and students have settled in well. “Our students are very happy to be in the new building and are getting used to the new layout and also the transition between buildings for science, physical education, and lunch” said Woodcock.

Superintendent Jordana Harper added “Now that we are little more settled, we would be pleased to have the taxpayers see this beautiful building they allowed us to build.

“The taxpayers of Greenfield have shown once again how strongly they support the educational needs of our town” said Mayor William Martin. “Even though the project still has the better part of a year to completion, we want to show them that this fine project is a model of cooperation between the Town and our project partners, the Massachusetts School Building Authority, Construction Monitoring Services, Shawmut Design and Construction, and Dore & Whittier Architects."
