1 Week Left in BuildingEnergy Contest

Adapted from Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) press releases:

Thanks to a grant from The Barr Foundation, we are offering a $500 award for entry of a zero net energy, zero net energy capable, or Passive House project into our new high performance buildings database.  It's important to act now if you want to be entered in this case study compilation as submissions must be started by December 31, 2015.

Project Requirements:

*Qualify as a Zero Net Energy, Zero Net Energy Capable, or Passive House.
*Be located in the NESEA territory (New England, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, or Delaware).
*Construction must not and will not impose any significant burden on the local environment.
*Be connected to the grid.
*Have a start date of no earlier than March 1, 2010.

Please remember that your draft case study must be completed by January 31, 2016.  Awards are limited and will be reviewed and distributed on a first-come, first-served, basis.  Also, although awards are limited to one per person, a case study can be entered by any member of a project team (e.g. contractor, builder, architect, engineer, etc.).

Finally, NESEA would like to thank the Net Zero Energy Coalition, our partner in building this resource for the high performance building science community.

If you have questions about the database or submitting a project, please email Miriam Aylward or call her at (413) 774-6051 x14.
