Get a Massage, Help a Library!

Adapted from a Living Essence Healing Arts press release:

This Saturday, July 11th, 3 local healing arts practitioners will be offering on-site seated bodywork at several area libraries to raise funds for those organizations as well as awareness of the benefits of bodywork.  In exchange for a relaxing, refreshing, 15-minute seated bodywork session, the public will be asked to make a $15 suggested donation to the library they visit.  These events are part of EveryBodyDeserves a Massage Week, sponsored by Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP), the nation’s largest massage therapy and bodywork professional membership organization.

Sessions will take place at the Arms Library in Shelburne Falls (60 Bridge Street) from 11AM to 3PM, Slate Memorial Library in Gill (360 Main Road) from 10AM to 2PM, and at the Wendell Farmers Market (to benefit the Wendell Free Library) on the town common from 10AM to 1PM.

“This is a terrific opportunity to promote the benefits of massage therapy and bodywork and my local library” said Karen Traub, an integrative acupressurist since 1991 who will be volunteering in Wendell.  Volunteers at the other two events will be Janet Masucci (Gill) and Margaret Olin (Shelburne Falls).

For more information, contact Margaret Olin (413) 615-8688, Janet Masucci (413) 863-8694, or Karen Traub (413) 367-9826, depending on which library you'd like to support.
