Glitter Jar Making Workshop

Adapted from a Salasin Center press release:

In honor of Sexual Abuse Awareness Month, the Salasin Center and the New England Learning Center for Women in Transition (NELCWIT) are co-hosting a free Self-Care Glitter Jar Making Workshop on Wednesday, April 19th, from 5PM to 7PM, at the RPX (1 Osgood Street) in Greenfield.  Snacks will be provided, all adults are welcome to attend, and pre-registration is encouraged but not required.

NELCWIT has been a vital local presence in our community, through its work with survivors of domestic and sexual violence, since its inception in 1976.  The organization offers a variety of free and confidential services for survivors and their families, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, advocacy, and prevention education.

The Salasin Center is comprised of both the Greenfield Women’s Resource Center (GWRC) and the F.U.N. (Family United Network) Center.  Believing that healing happens through mutually empowering relationships, the GWRC offers a safe place for women to build community, support each other, and empower and heal themselves.  The F.U.N. Center’s mission is to provide a safe, family friendly, environment where, through community participation, opportunities for support and connection in a nonjudgmental, stigma-free, environment can be found.  The Salasin Project also offers individual and family support services of all kinds.

For more information about the workshop, or to register for it, please email Stacey Langknecht (or call her at 413-774-4307 X4) or Charity O’Connor (or call her at 413-772-0871 X104).
