Job Posting --- Executive Director

After 11 years of outstanding service, as Station Manager and Executive Director at Greenfield Community Television, Scott MacPherson will be leaving to launch a new community television station in Holyoke as the next step in his long time career goals. On July 1st, Scott moved into a part-time role at GCTV, that he will retain until the end of 2017, in order to assist with our leadership transition.  In the meantime, the board of directors will conduct a thorough search for a new executive director, with an expected hire date of early fall.

The GCTV Board of Directors would like to publicly acknowledge Scott’s accomplishments. During his tenure, Scott renovated all components of video production, post-production, and broadcast in our facility so it is now 100% High Definition (HD).   In addition, he designed and implemented a Low Power FM (lpFM) radio station and associated audio production studios, developed a fully functioning community web presence including video and audio streaming capabilities, and helped expand the GCTV facility to include 1st floor operations and offices.  His outreach and service to community organizations and local government has been praised by all in the area.  We would like to thank Scott for all he has done for the station and wish him continued success with his career and this new endeavor.

Greenfield Community Television (GCTV) seeks an Executive Director. This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position. We offer excellent benefits and salary commensurate upon experience.

We are seeking an energetic individual to lead and represent GCTV in our mission of providing community access television and radio to the greater Greenfield Community. Candidates should have demonstrated leadership, management, and budgeting experience in a community, media or communications environment. Candidates should have strong technical background in all aspects of communication equipment, systems, and operations. Experience should include maintaining official records, documents, statistics, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Candidates should also demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively with people from a wide range of cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds with demonstrated success in creating innovative responses to meeting community needs. This position requires excellent oral and written communications skills in a variety of settings. Must be able to engage, build, and maintain relationships with community organizations, government entities, media and arts organizations, and community members in expanding the organization’s mission. We are also seeking a demonstrated ability to supervise staff and volunteers in daily operations consistent with a climate which attracts, retains, and motivates a diverse population.
