True Community Television

Once again, we are happy to find ourselves in the middle of hosting, filming, and publicizing a variety of local events and organizations. The week began with a Greenfield Ways & Means Committee Meeting in our studio on Monday night. Representatives of the Greenfield Public Schools, Four Rivers Charter Public School, Smith Vocational & Technical School, & Greenfield Virtual School attended, answering committee questions about their respective budgets.

On Tuesday, clients from Community Enterprises returned to our pre-production radio studio to record their weekly show, Live Spirits, and hot on their heels was the crew from Let’s Be Honest, an occasional podcast that explores topics like racism, classism, and sexism. Afterwards, members of the Greenfield Kiwanis Club took over our third floor space (and brought pizza!) to begin setting up for their annual auction. Then, it was “all Kiwanis, all the time” on Wednesday and Thursday, as we broadcast their 2017 fundraiser live, though GCTV News Director Karen and two volunteers did head over to Greenfield High School last night to film the music department’s Spring Scholarship Concert.

In the end, the Kiwanis raised a lot of money, much fun was had, and we recorded many hours of programming.  We love being in the middle of life here in town, so make sure to keep letting us know about things that are going on and tune in to Cable Channel 15 on a regular basis to see the results.
