District 8 Governor's Council and 1st Franklin State Rep debates live streaming this August

We invite you to learn more about the Governor's Council and 1st Franklin State Rep candidates on the September 1 primary ballot:

Governor's Council: Incumbent Councilor Tara Jacobs and challenger Michael Fenton will appear together at a public candidate forum on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 5:00PM at the Greenfield Community Television (GCTV) studio. 1st Franklin State Rep: Primary Candidates Corinne Coryat and Lora Wondolowski will join us for a debate at Greenfield Community College (GCC) in the Dining Commons on August 20 at 7PM.

Longtime Ashfield Town Moderator Buz Eisenberg will moderate the discussion. He'll be joined by a panel of questioners: Shelby Brock, Managing Editor of the Greenfield Recorder; Bill Newman, civil rights lawyer and co-host of WHMP's "Talk the Talk"; and Marie Gauthier, President of the League of Women Voters of Franklin County.
