Greenfield Accessible Arts Coalition (GAAC) Invites Greenfield Artists and Arts Organizations to a Greenfield Arts Summit
Are you a Visual Artist? Musician? Writer? Filmmaker? Dancer? Storyteller? Actor? Potter? Do you live or work in Greenfield? GAAC invites you to a Greenfield Arts Summit Friday morning, September 25, 9:30 am – 12:30 pm at Greenfield Public Library.
Led by GAAC (a coalition of Greenfield Community Television (GCTV), Artspace, Looky Here, and The LAVA Center), this event is focused on bringing Greenfield artists of all stripes together to meet, mingle, share ideas and visions together. GAAC was born out of a shared desire to make the arts more accessible in Greenfield. Recognizing the need to stop working in silos, brick and motor Greenfield-based arts nonprofits came together to create a coordinated network that supports and grows the arts community.
The Greenfield Arts Summit is an opportunity to meet others, discover commonalities, consider the ways we can support each other, and decide if we want to find ways to continue to gather as an arts community.
The Summit will begin with coffee, tea, and treats as people arrive, followed by structured activities that allow us to meet people we don’t yet know, discuss topics of mutual interest suggested by those in attendance in some depth in small groups, brainstorm ways we can collaborate, and share those ideas with the whole group. We’ll close with a plan to meet again, for those who would like to do so.
The Greenfield Arts Summit is free of charge. People interested in attending may register in advance at Greenfield Arts Summit Registration or the morning of the Summit. Advance registration is appreciated.
